“The theatre is not just a show, it’s a tool for fighting”
Arts, creativity and culture are vital ingredients for addressing mental illness in our neighbourhoods, helping us to reconnect with ourselves, and with each other.
We use theatre as a tool for community engagement, healing, addressing conflict & social disputes and revealing how the scene can become a space for dialogue, confrontation, organisation & collective transformation.
We use theatre as an interactive and hands-on tool to investigate situations in which our members are denied their basic rights, personally and collectively.
We use theatrical debate, through games and scenes, to uncover the many possible alternatives to these real-life challenges.
By imagining and rehearsing solutions together onstage, we prepare members to take action offstage.
This tool is designed to empower the members to become catalysts for change in their own lives and communities.
